French Place is a fabulous
1970’s property built by John Hendry. It is laid out in four courtyards. Each
courtyard has a different water feature. The property has beautiful
landscaping with ivy, oak trees and other garden features that make the
property an inviting respite from the Texas heat. Just north of downtown,
French Place is near San Antonio College, University of the Incarnate Word, and
Trinity University. It is just one mile from downtown San Antonio and within
walking distance of dining and shopping areas. The property has access to all
three major interstates with Interstate 37/281, Interstate 10, and Interstate
35 nearby. The property is just south of the historic Monte Vista area.

Please tell the on site leasing agent that you fund the apartment through Don Reser or Dons Apartments. You are entitled to choose your representative. We also need to be listed on your lease application, when you decide on your new home. The standard lease application in use in the San Antonio market (after many information questions) asks how you found out about their apartment property. Specifically the form block is entitled “Why You Rented Here.” You only have to write Don Reser in the first two blanks on the application. You do not need or have to answer any other questions in that block of the application. Your answer will not effect the results of your application or the cost of renting in any way. Amenities:
The property consists of 84 units built in 1973. Property amenities include a swimming pool and elevator. Convenient storage units are available. There is an ice machine along with clothes care centers. The property is gated and access for pedestrians is also key-controlled. Covered parking is available and there is separate bicycle parking.
Individual units have microwaves and ceiling fans. There are intercoms in the units for guest entry. The units have a kitchen panty, bookshelves, and walk in closets. All units have patios and balconies.
Policies:
The office hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 to 5:30, Saturday 10 to 5 and closed Sunday. Lease terms available are 3, 6, and 12 months.
Fees for renting include an application fee of $40 to $50 with deposits ranging from $350 to $450 depending on the apartment size. You need to make three times the rent or have a co-signer that meets this qualification.
There is no reserved parking. Covered parking is available at a cost of $20 per month.
Pets are allowed with a $300 deposit per pet. $150 of the deposit is not refundable. There is no pet rent and you are limited to two pets with a 20 pound per pet weight limit.
The apartment does check your credit; accept co-signers, first time renters and short term leases. Pest control fees are paid by the property. There is a charge to the renter for trash pickup, water and sewer.
Directions:
From Loop 281 take the Mulberry exit. Proceed down St. Mary’s Street and turn on to French Place. We are at the corner of French and Main Avenue.

If FRENCH PLACE is not the apartment for you, then please consider telling me more about what you want and need. My name is Don Reser and I have been involved with real estate since 1984. I consider myself the very best locator in San Antonio and I CAN HELP YOU, but I need you to HELP ME. Unless you are willing to allow me to help you by giving me the time to show you personally at least three apartments, it is really going to be hard. You are welcome to look around on your own, but generally it is inefficient and you will become tired and confused. (There are 700 commercial properties in San Antonio.) I will send you an email list of properties with directions to help you look on your own, and you are welcome to use my help this way. We have two databases to look at properties.
My experience is that it takes about 4 hours of viewing with an experienced locator at a minimum to find the right place. If you invest 8 hours with me, I will be able to show you at least two places you would want to rent at for your price. Okay so spend all the time you want on your own and then when you really want to get the job done, call me.
Because of the internet I know that many of you are moving from out of town and are very anxious about finding a place to live. I can assure you we can get it done in one day. We need to make an appointment for the day you are in town. If you have to know ahead of time, you will need to fly in and I will assist you in evaluating all your leasing options in one day.
