Why should I make Oakhampton Place my new apartment home?
Oakhampton is located
in Oakwell Farms, which is the planned development of the sprawling Tobin Estate
by Lloyd Denton. It is inside Loop 410, which greatly reduces traffic congestion.
The adjoining area to Oakwell Farms has both a driving range and horse stables.
There are two roads that run directly to Ft. Sam Houston; one goes to BAMC, and
the other to the base proper. Travel time is reportedly under ten minutes. Oakhampton
was well built by premier San Antonio developer Israel Fogiel in the 1980’s with
a unique Texanna flair. The property has three intimate swimming pools and as part
of the overall Oakwell Farms development includes jogging trails, rustic relaxed
trees, and wooded areas. In my opinion the prices represent one of the best values
for the area.

Please tell the on site leasing agent that you fund the apartment through Don Reser or Dons Apartments. You are entitled to choose your representative. We also need to be listed on your lease application, when you decide on your new home. The standard lease application in use in the San Antonio market (after many information questions) asks how you found out about their apartment property. Specifically the form block is entitled “Why You Rented Here.” You only have to write Don Reser in the first two blanks on the application. You do not need or have to answer any other questions in that block of the application. Your answer will not effect the results of your application or the cost of renting in any way. Policies:
The office hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 to 5:30,
Saturday 10 to 5 and closed Sunday. Lease terms available are 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8,
9, 10, 11, 12, and 13 months.
Fees for renting include an application fee of $50. Security deposits are $150 for one bedroom with $100 of that amount not refundable and $200 for one bedroom with study or two bedrooms of which $100 is not refundable.
There is no reserved parking or garages. Covered parking is available for $35 per month.
Pet fees are $450 for one pet and $550 for two pets of which $250 and $350 is non refundable respectively. There is no pet rent. The following breeds are not accepted; Pitt Bull, Rottwieler, Chow Akita, Sharpie, Bull Terrier, Wolf, Standard Poodle and Doberman.
The property will rent you a washer and dryer for $35 per month. The property is gated and there is a one time key charge of $25. There is a guest apartment available at the rate of $70 per night.
The apartment does check your credit; accept co-signers, first time renters and short term leases. Pest control fees are paid by the property. There is a charge to the renter for trash pickup, water and sewer.

From Loop 410 go south on Harry Wurzbach about 2 miles, and turn left into Oakwell Farms. We are several blocks down on the left.

If Oakhampton Place is not the apartment for you, then please consider telling me more about what you want and need. My name is Don Reser and I have been involved with real estate since 1984. I consider myself the very best locator in San Antonio and I CAN HELP YOU, but I need you to HELP ME. Unless you are willing to allow me to help you by giving me the time to show you personally at least three apartments, it is really going to be hard. You are welcome to look around on your own, but generally it is inefficient and you will become tired and confused. (There are 700 commercial properties in San Antonio.) I will send you an email list of properties with directions to help you look on your own, and you are welcome to use my help this way. We have two databases to look at properties.
My experience is that it takes about 4 hours of viewing with an experienced locator at a minimum to find the right place. If you invest 8 hours with me, I will be able to show you at least two places you would want to rent at for your price. Okay so spend all the time you want on your own and then when you really want to get the job done, call me.
Because of the internet I know that many of you are moving from out of town and are very anxious about finding a place to live. I can assure you we can get it done in one day. We need to make an appointment for the day you are in town. If you have to know ahead of time, you will need to fly in and I will assist you in evaluating all your leasing options in one day.
